How much will it cost?
Treatment fees and costs vary. An average fee would be $7900, but this depends on the complexity of your treatment plan. When you come in for your free consultation, Dr. Brawn can show you what your smile could look like after treatment. He will also discuss the options for treatment and anticipated length of treatment.
When you come in, ask about how you can earn a $2000 savings on your net cost!
We offer free consultations as well as free Invisalign records.
Following the consultation, the treatment coordinator will go over all the financials based on your unique treatment plan. The treatment coordinator can also help develop a flexible and affordable payment plan based on your needs. Total treatment costs will be discussed and defined up front so you won’t have any surprises. Our treatment fee includes:
- Complimentary teeth whitening at the end of treatment
- OrthoPulse device to accelerate tooth movement
- Using Dental Monitoring, which uses artificial intelligence to ensure your treatment is on track
- All necessary office visits to complete treatment
- All Invisalign aligners
- One refinement to complete your case
What’s the difference between Invisalign and braces? Why should I choose Invisalign?
Braces consist of metal brackets that are bonded to your teeth and tied together by wires and tiny rubber bands. Invisalign aligners are a series of custom-made clear plastic trays that move your teeth in small, pre-defined increments. Aligners can be removed to eat or brush your teeth and are virtually invisible while you are wearing them.
How long will it take to straighten my teeth?
The length of your treatment depends on your unique treatment plan. Dr. Brawn will work with you to develop a treatment plan to help you achieve the new smile you want. Most of our patients are able to finish treatment within one year.
How often will I need to come in for an appointment?
Using Dental Monitoring, a tele-dentistry software, and artificial intelligence, we can reduce the number of appointments by 50% or more. Everyone is busy, so if we can follow your progress without having you come in, all the better! Instead of coming into the office, we can monitor your treatment by having you use the tele-dentistry smartphone app at home to capture tooth movement on a PIXEL level - even better than we can do with the human eye. We will still see you in the office every six to 10 weeks, or even sooner if you feel the need.
Does it hurt?
Some people experience mild discomfort when they first insert each aligner. Not only does OrthoPulse accelerate tooth movement, but most patients find that it is actually soothing and can reduce the discomfort typically associated with moving teeth. Clinical research shows a reduction of pain by up to 75%, compared to treatment without OrthoPulse.
Will people notice I am wearing aligners?
Most people will have no idea that you are wearing aligners.
How does Invisalign work?
Invisalign technology maps out the series of small movements to get your smile from how it is today, to where you want it. Each aligner moves your teeth a small amount while Dr. Brawn monitors the progress, via a combination of software and office visits, and makes sure everything is on track.
How does OrthoPulse work?
OrthoPulse uses light energy to stimulate the bone surrounding the roots of your teeth to facilitate tooth movement. All you need to do is use OrthoPulse at home for 10 minutes per day!
Can anyone have Invisalign?
Invisalign today can treat virtually all the same cases that metal braces can treat.
Will my insurance cover Invisalign?
If your dental plan offers orthodontic coverage, it will likely cover a portion of your treatment costs, but not all dental insurance carriers provide orthodontic coverage. We will contact your insurance provider on your behalf to confirm your coverage. If you do have coverage, we will collect their portion directly.
We offer flexible and affordable payment plans. Following your consultation, the treatment coordinator will explain all the costs associated with your recommended treatment plan and will work with you to develop a payment plan you feel good about.
What are the aligners made of?
Invisalign aligners are made of a custom, BPA-free, biocompatible plastic. Invisalign is approved by regulatory bodies worldwide including Health Canada and the US FDA.
Are the aligners comfortable?
Aligners take a short time to get used to but are easily incorporated into your daily routine. Many patients forget they are wearing them!
How often do I have to wear my aligners?
Aligners should be worn 22 hours per day.
Are there any restrictions for what I can eat?
No! Because aligners can be removed for meals, you can eat everything you normally would.
What are buttons and attachments?
Sometimes called buttons, attachments are small dots made out of dental bonding, matching the colour of your teeth, that provide extra "grip" for the aligners to move your teeth. The attachments will feel like small bumps on your teeth but they will help the aligners fit more snugly and move your teeth more precisely.
